It looks like the gym has a new unofficial mascot! Prof. Marcio brought in his new puppy, Nino, and he is cute AND crazy! Favorite activities include licking your face if you are playing guard and chasing around the students during the jogging warmup.

The first Brazilian Sports in Action Batizado was a huge success! We’d like to thank Mestre Elias for a wonderful experience. And also our gratitude for all of the students and instructors who participated!

So, after Marcio came back from Carlos Machado’s last seminar in Dallas, TX raving about how amazing it was, intrepid purple belt, Jetsun Feliciano, decided to go down there with him this month and see what all the fuss was about.

Well, while Jetsun was still trying to process all of the mind-blowing jiu jitsu concepts he was seeing, Carlos & Marcio must have snuck up on him, swiped his belt, and rolled it around in the dirt outside, because when he got back to NY, it had turned completely brown! Congratulations Jetsun!!!

Prof. Marcio just returned from a seminar down in Dallas,TX at world-renowned instructor, Carlos Machado’s, school. According to Marcio, he and his brother, Marcos, were in complete awe of Carlos’s amazing technique and the generosity of he and all of the Machado brothers.
