Marcio Santos

Hailing from Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Marcio Santos is a third degree black belt who has been practicing BJJ for almost 30 years– earning his rank first under Pitbull Academy’s Master Adilson Jorge de Lima, second under Master Rigan Machado, and third under Master Carlos Machado. Prof. Marcio has studied with some of the best personages in the martial arts world, including the Machado Brothers, Helio Gracie, and Danny Inosanto. He has been an instructor of both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Capoeira for over 10 years.

Although Marcio, aka “the humble professor”, is renowned for his quiet teaching style, if you get him laughing hard enough, you might be able to get him to finally tap!

Jetsun Feliciano

Jetsun Feliciano grew up in the Bronx of New York, starting his martial arts training in his early teens with Fu Jaw Pai, Tae Kwon Do, and Kickboxing. In addition to being a certified instructor of Wing Chun, Jetsun is  also a full instructor here at BSPIA for the BJJ and submission wrestling classes.

While Jetsun is known for his patient instruction, his favorite pastime is mashing students into small balls resembling tin foil. No… wait!… I didn’t mean it, Jetsun! AHHH!

Geoff Roesch

Our head MMA instructor, Geoff Roesch, has been studying martial arts since 1983. From the sunset beaches of Nantucket to smelly gyms in Tokyo, along the way, Geoff has picked up black belts in Tae Kwon Do and the locking arts of Hapkido and Kuk Sool Won. Geoff was a ’91 NY State TKD Champion and has fought in many above- and under-ground Shoot Fighting & MMA matches in NY & NJ. A martial arts mutt, Geoff has also trained in JKD, Kali, submission wrestling, boxing, and street defense and has had the good fortune of training with such notables as Bas Rutten, Dan Inosanto, Jutaro Nakao, Surachai Sirisute, and Erik Paulson. If you ask Geoff how to pass an opponent’s guard, he usually replies, “Um…why pass? Just punch the guy!”
